A female calf of J17 Princess Angeline.

She was really the entire show today as the others were just swimming leisurely along while the young calf born in October 2015 was tail waving, Spy Hopping, and rolling around being playful.

We started out the tour seeing some Harbor Seals including this very pregnant mama that must be ready to give birth any day.  Then we spotted some California Sea Lions on a buoy on our way into the strait.

After that, it was on to the whales.  We saw a few swim by us and as we were drifting in the current a couple came our way.  It was Princess Angeline and her calf J53 a female who has yet to be named.

After watching her play for a while we headed offshore to where we heard J26 Mike was traveling.  He gave us some great views but no bellyflops or breaching that we were hoping for.

Then we were off for home port with a couple stops along the way to see Bald Eagles.  The water was so calm and a great day all around with Baby J53 Orca Pics.
