A great day spent seeing all our magnificent marine life and observing the T124A’s, Biggs Killer Whales for a good portion of the day.
Weather was beautiful compared to what we had the last couple days. Sunny, warm and for the most part calm seas. One great thing about living in the islands is that if weather to our south is unpleasant we can usually go north and if weather to the north is unpleasant we can generally go south. Not often are we having bad weather everywhere up here.
There were a couple of seal kills, a few breaches, spy hops and plenty of porpoising action going on today. T124A’s, Biggs Killer Whales making a meal of the seals. Some of my towboat friends will recognize the Ferndale Refinery dock in a few of the pics.
A few Bald Eagles including one shot that is not the greatest but including to show we do have a couple of chicks in the nest. They are a cute fuzz ball when hatched, but they turn ugly pretty quickly for a few months.
Some Stellar Sea Lions including a bunch of them looking like they are taking a bath together.
