We started off viewing Seals and Sea Lions on our way down to see a Humpback Whale. I received a call to tell me there were Killer Whales spotted to the north, so off we went to see them.
We saw members of J Pod including J16 Slick and her calf J50 Scarlett. J17 Princess Angeline and her calf J53 Kiki. J26 Mike was the big adult male we saw today.
Newborn Harbor Seals are everywhere these days. On the way back we saw mom and pup bonding. I think she was sniffing to make sure it was her pup because right after this she rolled over and started nursing.
The little seal pup was struggling but made it up on the rock. It went to the mama who eventually to enjoy that warm milk from mama seal.
A nicely posed Bald Eagle stayed put while I took his pic.
