We could head out west of Victoria to see some Transients headed away from us. Or we could head north and see a couple Humpback Whales or we could head east. I chose to go east then south inside Whidbey Island to see the T137A’s Hunting Breaching and Playing.

With the anticipation of small craft advisory winds out west and south, we went east and then south on the inside of Whidbey Island. It was absolutely the right choice despite some rough water crossing Rosario on the way home.

I had heard on the radio T49A’s but when I got home on the computer to edit my pics I saw we were actually with the T137A’s.

Three seal kills took place, though in the pics there are only two hints to this. In one you can see the seal launching itself away from the whales and in another you can see some red just below the surface in the mouth of one of the whales, it is faint so you have to be looking.

On our trip down we also saw a Stellar Sea Lion on a buoy and a Minke Whale just before Deception Pass on Lawson Reef.

Other than the rough crossing back to the San Juans it was a pretty spectacular tour watching the T137A’s hunting, breaching and playing around.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]spiritoforca T123As 1spiritoforca T123As 4spiritoforca T123As 3spiritoforca T123As 2 spiritoforca T123As 5spiritoforca T123As 9spiritoforca T123As 8spiritoforca T123As 7spiritoforca T123As 6 spiritoforca T123As 10spiritoforca T123As 14spiritoforca T123As 13spiritoforca T123As 12spiritoforca T123As 11 spiritoforca T123As 19spiritoforca T123As 18spiritoforca T123As 17spiritoforca T123As 16spiritoforca T123As 15 spiritoforca T123As 24spiritoforca T123As 23spiritoforca T123As 22spiritoforca T123As 21spiritoforca T123As 20 spiritoforca T123As 29spiritoforca T123As 28spiritoforca T123As 27spiritoforca T123As 26spiritoforca T123As 25 spiritoforca T123As 34spiritoforca T123As 33spiritoforca T123As 32spiritoforca T123As 31spiritoforca T123As 30 spiritoforca T123As 39spiritoforca T123As 38spiritoforca T123As 37spiritoforca T123As 36spiritoforca T123As 35 spiritoforca T123As 44spiritoforca T123As 43spiritoforca T123As 42spiritoforca T123As 41spiritoforca T123As 40 spiritoforca T123As 49spiritoforca T123As 48spiritoforca T123As 47spiritoforca T123As 46spiritoforca T123As 45[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
