Exotic Transients T125A and T128
Today we had a visit from an exotic pair of Male Killer Whales from Alaska. We don’t see them here very often. The last time was about a year ago. These two are brothers even though they have different pod ID numbers. T125A and T128 Exotic’s drag Seal Intestines after pouncing on the seal.
We had blue sky and beautiful seas. The straits were calm today at least where we were. I understand there were 5′ seas in the Strait of Georgia today. We were viewing this pair of whales when I decided to make my way towards a noisy bunch of gulls feeding on a bait ball.
Seal Kill
The Orca had the same idea. As we were approaching the bait ball T125A startled the group of gulls off the water. He pounced on a seal also feeding on the bait ball. Notice the seal intestines wrapped around the dorsal fin. Seeing the T125A and T128 Exotic’s drag Seal Intestines was pretty cool.
Also some pics of Rhinoceros Auklet, Stellar Sea Lions. A celebrity shot of Popeye before we left on tour as she says hello.
