Fall is here. We started out of the harbor with a chill in the air and partly cloudy skies. I stopped off to see some Harbor Seals, and while taking a pic, a Cormorant photo-bombed my shot of one Orca Sausage.
I cruised by the usual spots today for Bald Eagles but did not see any today. Then we were in the straits and heading for about twenty-five orca.
These whales were Bigg’s Orca, the mammal eaters.
I recognized T99B with her jagged dorsal. I saw T18s, T37s, T46Bs, and more.
We saw three Humpback Whales today. One of them is known as Anvil, the other two I am not sure who they are as we were not seeing fluke shots of them to ID them.
On the way back, we saw several groups of porpoise in passing, a “flying orca,” and a Great Blue Heron on one of the ferry dolphins.
It was cold but a delightful day on the water.
