A cool and beautiful day on the water. We were searching with three other vessels for whales but one of those days we could not find them.
There was a pod in Puget Sound but it would have meant folks missing their ferry on an extended trip. We did see lots of wildlife though.
There were Harbor Seals, Stellar Sea Lions, Bald Eagles, lots of eagles, Black Oyster Catchers, and a Seagull swallowing a starfish.
Then there are the lambs that are showing up this week. I think the abundance of bald ealges are here in force for the lambs.
We saw couple of Canadian Navy ships and a Canadian Coast Guard ship, along with one of their RIBs performing maintenance on a Nav Aid. On the way back we spotted a RIB that had washed up on shore. Back at the dock I called the USCG and sent them a pic, then posted that pic on my FaceBook page and a quick reply found the owner.
