It was forecast to rain all day and it started out that way when I was getting the boat ready. Then a bit of mist when my first tour guests arrived and that was it. We had a late start because the ferry was running about 45 minutes late.

Once we left the harbor I headed south towards the Olympic Penninsula where we met up with 3 pods of Bigg’s Orca that were socializing, and just having a good time, what we call a “T Party”.

On each tour, we saw Tufted Puffins, Rhinoceros Auklet and more. A Humpback Whale made his way through the pods but by the time we got there for the second tour he had moved on. I did get a few shots of him.

On the second tour, there were some spy hops and in a couple, I saw what looks like a gut sac that they are drawing around and playing with.
