Today was a special day seeing the Bigg’s T36s & T37As. They were playful and having a celebration dance after a seal kill in East Sound. We spent much of the time shutdown and just watching their playfulness among each other. I also put the Hydrophone down and we listened to some of their vocals.
There are a couple of calves in the mix and so nice to see their extra skip in their step as they played along with the rest of the pods whales.
We saw Harbor Seals, Bald Eagles, Pigeon Guillemot with a fish, Harbor Porpoise, Black Oystercatchers, and a chick.
We also saw someone had a very bad day having run aground and having to wait for the next high tide for the boat to be retrieved.
A beautiful day on the water with some beautiful creatures.
