Today it was nice to have T137s & T65As Inner Islands viewing. Especially since there were gales south of us with 5′ to 6′ seas. They were very playful in the morning, multidirectional, and just having fun. Later they seemed to have a purpose in their travels making their way south and eventually into the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
There were many sea birds to be seen today. The sunlight catching the beauty in the Cormorants eyes, a Glaucous Gull Chick, Black Oystercatchers, Bald Eagles, and more.
Towards the end of the second tour we got to see the slightest bit of a chase after a seal but that was it as far as any killing taking place.
