The rips were spinning my boat around as we viewed them playing. My first tour was a birding tour and Tufted Puffin was the goal to spend time with. We got to see them fishing bait balls of anchovy. The fish would try to leap out of the water when the puffin was swimming up from underneath. You can see in a few pics the anchovy leaping out of the water trying to fly away from the predator puffin chasing them.

On the second tour, we make a long trek down past Port Townsend to catch up with the T65A’s and a couple of the T137’s. They were not going anywhere fast and just playing in the rip tides created by the tidal changes. I have vocals of this pod and I meant to share but I spaced out. On the way home, we stopped by to see the Tufted Puffin, Steller Sea Lions, and a view of the Brown Pelican that has been hanging around whale rocks lately.
