Both tours today were up by Point Roberts just a bit less than a mile from the northern border. We got to see J35 Tahlequah with her new calf J57 and her older son J47 Notch. Notch was breaching a few times but I never had the boat or the camera ready for when he did.
We sat on the USA side of the border and watched their blows as they were approaching US waters, then we began to see fins, and eventually, they were on our side and we could view them. The water was mostly flat calm which made for good time but still over an hour each way.
