We had a bumpy ride to Victoria today, where we met up with two pods of orcas.
We stopped off on the way to see Ottis, the sea otter. There were several very pregnant seals there, too,
When we arrived on the scene with the orcas, they were traveling towards Trial Island off Victoria. I am sharing a shot of the lightkeeper’s house and a picture of the Trial Island Lighthouse.
As they left the island, they swam in a westerly direction. Then they surfaced, having taken a hard left. Those of us on that side shut down so they could pass beyond us.
