Our day started out heading south to help find a pod of orca reported a bit earlier. We got on scene and were viewing the T36Bs including a calf about five months old, and the T99s.

You will notice a Pacific Murre flapping away but never gaining flight. They eat so much that they can’t get liftoff. Orcas do not eat birds, but they sure like messing with them. A couple of orcas popped up under this bird, and he was like, “I am out of here.”

On the afternoon tour, we watched the same animals, but they had made their way out west to Victoria by the time we returned to them. On the way back, we stopped to see the stellar sea lions and then Ottis, our furry friend. He was pretty sleepy this time.
