A day of Puffins Turnstones and T75s. We went to the puffins first and looked for the horned puffin for a while. All we found were tufted puffins. Then we moved on, heading for the stellar sea lions. The orcas were up north and we headed towards them. There were the T109As north then west. The T75s and others amounting to twelve animals were headed for Active Pass. The weather west was pretty snotty; it was supposed to have been better, but I am not so sure.
We made it up to them just as a tug and tow was coming to them. After the tug we could not spot them. We were almost to Porlier Pass when another boat that had departed the scene and was heading back south picked two of them up. We changed direction and got a few views in before heading home.
“The Sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.”
