Once it cleared up, Barbara with All Aboard Sailing spotted them and saved the day for all of our tours. Brett with Eagle Wing Tours smelled a kill in the air and called me as I was a bit south of him. Then a few minutes later, Barbara spotted them a couple of miles north of him.
I had a couple on board from Fort Lewis, or JBLM as it is now called. He had me stop for a few moments as he proposed, and she said yes. When the orcas were finally located, our time was up, but I couldn’t resist spending time with them so this couple could enjoy them for a bit. I was late getting back for my second tour, but the next group was understanding.
