Our tour today was with the T99s near Protection Island. I had a family with me today from Bozeman Montana. Their daughter knew the answers to just about everything I was sharing. I shared with her dad that he might have a future marine biologist in the family.
We headed south to view the T99 pod of orcas, and they were zigzagging like crazy. After viewing them for a while we went looking for the sea otter but somehow missed him today. We saw tufted puffins and cormorants, including chicks, seals, sea lions, harlequin ducks, and more.
It was not raining at all, but it sure was a dark day on the water.
“The Sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.”
