Today, we had the T49As in Rosario Strait. They made milling circles around Pea Pods several times, then continued south. They were doing very long dives, and keeping track was a bit of a challenge.
T49A1 was off by himself; I spotted his blow and thought the pod was there, but it turns out it was just him. We watched him for a bit, then wandered back over to the rest of the pod.
A very good day. We had the T99s right on our doorstep of Anacortes and didn’t have to go far at all.
This was more about playing than hunting for food. In the end, they just swam away letting the sea lion be.
