Whales, Eagles, and Octopus
Whales, Eagles, and Octopus. But first, the weather down in Juan de Fuca was nasty today and the Resident Orca were way out west and with the heavy seas just not doable to go to them. So we started the day with a Humpback whale that was moving down San Juan Channel. We got down into the strait and it was time to get back into calm water.
Then we headed up the island and found three Humpbacks in Haro Strait that were in calmer waters.
Showing my guests some seals, mouflon sheep, and Bald Eagles and I could tell what the eagle was eating was not a fish but I did not know what it was until I sat down at the computer to edit. Whales, Eagles, and Octopus what an unusual day.
Another unique tour with a pair of Bald Eagles fighting over a shark tail.
Actually was a pretty good day considering how sloppy the Straits were. Plus we had a much better day than one yacht did today, see his pic last.
