Pouring Rain Whale Watching

It was supposed to be a “chance of rain”. Weather is the one thing that NOAA does a great job at, usually anyway. They were way off today, it was dumping buckets and they have now revised the forecast to show rain for the next four days where none had been predicted beyond today.

We still saw two humpback whales. One is known as MMX0006 aka DoubleDrop. The other might have been Crecent but not sure at all.

We went down to see Tufted Puffin and saw one dip below the surface and we never saw it again. We also saw a Surf Scoter that is a goofy looking duck.

The most entertainment came from the Steller Sea Lions. Some were sacked out on the rocks and some were being playful in the water. A couple came close to check us out.

The photos are not the best. The lighting was very dark with the storm clouds and best I could do today.
