Too Much Idle Time and A Few Wildlife Shots

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_single_image source=”featured_image” img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]As we are all aware, we have been on lockdown for some time now.  I have snuck out of the house a few times to get some fresh air and see some wildlife.

I was walking upon a sleeping fox going to get within about 75 yards when he sniffed or heard me and bolted. Not great shots but the experience is there.

I have a few hummingbird shots while sitting in my pickup with the window down in the driveway. I don’t know hummingbirds so someone can clue me in here.

I have been hearing Quail in the mornings and took a few shots of them in front of the house.,

There is one shot of the black-coated red fox running by me but almost gone by the time I grabbed the camera.

I am seeing the bucks on the island in velvet, growing their antlers. The buck here has some wide nubs starting to form so at least a forked antler.

Today I took the newer boat out for sea trials to see if any issues. I found a couple but easily able to fix. While out a few shots of Stelar Sea Lions, Harbor Seals, Tufted Puffin, Rhinoceros Auklet, and a few others.

More than I would normally post but its been pretty dull around here for a while now.

I am very hopeful that June 1st will be the start of Phase 2 for opening up Washington State and I will be able to take everyone out on tours again. We have had regular sightings of Orca but no tours to go see them because of the COVID 19 pandemic.

Miss seeing you all and hope to be back to normal soon. We are now accepting reservations for June and beyond.
