The Orca we were viewing today is the Bigg’s pod known as the T46B ‘s and has a White Whale. This is a Leucistic calf, not a true albino but pretty white. His ID is T46B1B and nicknamed Tl’uk and unless T46B6 is a male then he is the only male in this pod. Tl’uk is a Salish word that means “Moon”.
At one point they were appearing to be chowing down on something but I never saw what it was. We met up with them south of Pevine Pass and stayed with them until we got to Pea Pod Rocks in Rosario Strait.
It was very nice spending time observing these beautiful creatures.
