It may be a reflection of the 5′ seas in the Strait of Juan de Fuca. I opted to go north into the Strait of Georgia where it was glassy calm. However, we did not see any whales or blows and I really thought we would.

On the way, we saw Black Oyster Catchers, a beautiful Brown Turnstone, Harbor Seals, a young Stellar Sea Lion on a bell buoy, Bald Eagles, Harbor Porpoise, and more.

I scanned Georgia Strait for a bit before heading back down to Haro Strait to see a pair of Humpbacks. One very distinctly recognized as Niagara and another as yet not identified. (if we do get an ID, I will update this post.)

On the way home, we saw Some Mouflon Sheep on Spieden Island. It turned out to be a pretty cool day despite the bad weather in Juan de Fuca.
