After a couple of days of not being able to view whales because they were on the Canadian side of the border, it was very nice to have a pod solidly in US waters and see the T60’s Bigg’s Killer Whales. This water border closure absolutely sucks. In all the years of doing this, we have never touched foreign soil.
Today was a good day though, seeing the T60’s making their way towards San Juan Island.
We also saw Steller Sea Lions, Harbor Seals, Black Oystercatchers, Bald Eagles and more.
