We saw many birds and I even learned a new one today, the ‘White Winged Scoter’. We saw Black Oystercatchers, Pigeon Guillemot, Harlequin Ducks, Pacific Murre, Rhinoceros Auklet, Tufted Puffin, three species of Cormorants of Brant, Pelagic, and Double-Crested, Red-necked Grebe, Black Turnstone, Glaucous, and Heermans Seagulls, Red-necked Phalarope, and a few I am sure I am forgetting.

Jacques Cousteau
