We had a six-hour charter today, and we joined the search for a group of eight orcas that seemed to have vanished. Eventually, a pod of 11 was located, and they could have been the originals who joined up with another pod or could have been a miscount of the lost group.
After viewing those guys for a while, we moved on to see a humpback and saw another in the distance as we were leaving. I took us up to see a gray whale that had been feeding for several days on a bank in Georgia Strait, but the weather was picking up in Georgia Strait, and it was difficult to see. We could not have heard the blow unless we were right next to the whale. I gave up that search, and we moved on to see sea lions and eagles.
