We were in Hood Canal with T65As and T37s. This was a new first for us today. I have never been in Hood Canal with orcas. I have scuba-dived a few times in Hood Canal but have never taken a whale-watching tour into the canal.
The orcas were pretty much in travel mode the whole time we were with them, up until it was time to leave. Then, all of a sudden, they were spread out wide, probably decided it was time for a lunch kill. We headed back to Anacortes, enjoying the cruise home.
“The Sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.”
