Wow, what a day. I woke up at 0600, opened my iPhone app to listen to the hydrophone on the west side of the island. Then I fell back asleep and woke up to J Pod vocals loud and clear on the hydrophone.

It was going to be a great day. We have not had the Southern Resident Killer Whales around much in the last couple years but I knew we would see them today and that we did.

On our tours, we saw Princess Angeline J17 with her calf Kiki. Then we saw J26 Mike and L87 Onyx. There were several others too. The seas and wind were a bit rough today. It was a genuinely special day seeing our residents.

A couple pics of a Bald Eagle having already eaten a fish but not yet ready to let go of the head. I am not even sure what kind of fish it was. It kinda looks like a Rat Fish but hard to tell.

Also saw a few Stellar Sea Lions and one showed us his teeth and WOW does he need to see the Dentist.

A few exotic animals and a pretty good day with J Pod, Some L’s and other wildlife. Even though the rain and seas were not so good.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Spirit of Orca 20180910 32 1Spirit of Orca 20180910 36 1Spirit of Orca 20180910 35 1Spirit of Orca 20180910 34 1Spirit of Orca 20180910 33 1 Spirit of Orca 20180910 37 1Spirit of Orca 20180910 41 1Spirit of Orca 20180910 40 1Spirit of Orca 20180910 39 1Spirit of Orca 20180910 38 1 Spirit of Orca 20180909 5Spirit of Orca 20180909 4Spirit of Orca 20180909 3Spirit of Orca 20180909 2Spirit of Orca 20180910 1 Spirit of Orca 20180909 10Spirit of Orca 20180909 9Spirit of Orca 20180909 8Spirit of Orca 20180909 7Spirit of Orca 20180909 6 Spirit of Orca 20180909 15Spirit of Orca 20180909 14Spirit of Orca 20180909 13Spirit of Orca 20180909 12Spirit of Orca 20180909 11 Spirit of Orca 20180909 21Spirit of Orca 20180909 20Spirit of Orca 20180909 19Spirit of Orca 20180909 18Spirit of Orca 20180909 17 Spirit of Orca 20180909 26Spirit of Orca 20180909 25Spirit of Orca 20180909 24Spirit of Orca 20180909 23Spirit of Orca 20180909 22 Spirit of Orca 20180909 31Spirit of Orca 20180909 30Spirit of Orca 20180909 29Spirit of Orca 20180909 28Spirit of Orca 20180909 27 Spirit of Orca 20180909Spirit of Orca 20180909 35Spirit of Orca 20180909 34Spirit of Orca 20180909 33Spirit of Orca 20180909 32[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
