First Tour of 2019 Viewing K-Pod. K-Pod is one of our three Southern Resident Killer Whale pods.
After spending part of the day going through Crime Observation Reporting Training with Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife I took a tour of four out to see K Pod.
By the time we had caught up with them, we were off Trial Island near Victoria, BC.
I was able to ID K14 Lea but I was not able to ID the big male we were with. All total we saw about a dozen whales spread wide. Not a bad way to spend the First Tour of 2019 Viewing K-Pod.
