This evening I took some folks to see the Biggs T65A’s in Friday Harbor. A group of three Biggs Killer Whales who were swimming inside the harbor. They wandered across the channel to Park Bay. After a seal kill they moved on. Now going around Shaw Island into Wasp Pass heading towards the Orcas ferry terminal.
The ferry called me wanting to make sure I would be out of his way. I let him know I surely would be but their were whales in his path. He needed to be cautious while transiting Wasp Passage.
Again today this group of three was without mom and the younger siblings. Mom and the kids still have not rejoined the pod.
Today I heard this group described as Little Rascals just wandering around doing their own thing without moms watchful eye. I wonder what kind of scolding they are going to get when Mom does finally meet up with them again.
The lighting for pics this evening was not the best. Look back at a previous post to see some better pics of these three Orca. What a day Biggs T65A’s in Friday Harbor
