Our Salish Sea Birds
The Salish Sea contains a stunning and unique ecosystem with 172 Seabird species for our Bird-Watching Tours. We see many species daily.
To name a few, we see Tufted Puffins, Great Blue Heron, Bald Eagles, Rhinoceros Auklet, and Pacific Loon. We could see Pacific Common Murre, Marbled Murrelet, Red Neck Phalarope, or Hooded Merganser. The list goes on to cover all 172 species.
Go on a birding tour with me, and you will see many birds from my vessel. As we tour the Salish Sea and the San Juan Islands, you will see what a jewel the Salish Sea is that we are privileged to live near and experience.
You may have specific birds you would like to see. We can try to find them or head out and be surprised at what nature presents to us.
Photography
Many of my guests are photographers, and that is great. If this is you, let’s see if we can position your lens for some great shots. I will be taking pictures on our tour as well. The best of those pics will be emailed to you after I have edited them at home.
We look forward to seeing you and sharing all the nature around us here in the San Juan Islands. There are different birds at different times of the year, but there is always something special to be seen.
After viewing my pics, if you would like to see a post that was a pretty spectacular display of Bald Eagles fighting over a sharks tail, follow this link.
