We saw Mike J26 breaching a lot today, and I am hoping some of my pics caught him doing so. I have pics of J42 Echo who I shared with ribs showing a while back from starvation.

We saw J16 Slick, J19 Sachi, J26 Mike, J22 Oreo and her son J38 Cookie. Saw some tail slapping to stun salmon and to lunge for the fish and it was great to see them feeding.

When we left out in the morning it was reported as Biggs killer whales we were going to see, but it was soon apparent that was not correct.  It was J Pod we were to view and very lovely to see them feeding today.

A research boat was out today with a drone flying over the whales’ video recording their actions.

A lot of seabirds were around today including Cormorant, Pacific Loon, Rhinoceros Auklet, Bald Eagles and Common Murre. A Bald Eagle was making a bunch of Seagulls nervous setting among their nests with chicks or eggs.

The cartwheel pics are of J35 Tahlequah. J26 Mike had too much fun out there breaching today, My guests captured some of his breachings but I was never able to be ready and or in focus.  Its hard running boat, talking to guests and taking pics. But hard to be pessimistic when we can see JPod in Rosario & Juan-de-Fuca straits.
